We are happy to be back at Baltimore Comic-Con in 2011!
The 2011 Baltimore Comic-Con will be held from August 20-21 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Downtown Baltimore. There are a ton of great guests, including this year’s Guest of Honor, Stan “The Man” Lee! Also, Comic-Con will once again host the annual Harvey Awards! The Harvey Awards are one of the comic book industry’s oldest and most respected awards.

Old Line Garrison will be invading the 16th Annual Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge, benefiting Special Olympics of Maryland!
This is a huge annual event that raises millions of dollars for the athletes and programs associated with Special Olympics Maryland. Our Plunge Team, ‘Some Like It Hoth’, has registered for the event and is raising money in the form of pledges from donors wanting us to jump into the icy Chesapeake Bay at Sandy Point State Park near Annapolis, MD on January 28th, 2012.
Some Like It Hoth will be participating in the 1:00pm plunge. The team will be supported by the troopers of Old Line Garrison and the Rebel Legion’s Terrapin Base, who will be on-hand for both the 1:00pm and 3:00pm plunges to meet and greet the citizens of the Empire, join them in photos and sign autographs.

Old Line Garrison congratulates Max Page on his induction as an Honorary Member of the 501st Legion!
Young Max, who rocketed to stardom after appearing in a 2011 Volkswagen Super Bowl Commercial as the miniature Lord Vader, has been inducted into the 501st Legion as an Honorary Member.
When Lucasfilm, Ltd. approved the use of licensed properties for the commercial, they sent a specialist to the set to train young Max on the finer points of Force maneuvers to ensure authenticity. Since that time, Max’s favorite thing to do is to demonstrate those techniques to anyone willing to learn.
Old Line Garrison, along with members of Garrison Tyranus, enjoyed trooping with young Max in Washington D.C. this past Monday, July 25th, at the Family Advocacy Day event, hosted by the National Association of Childrens Hospitals. Max was provided with a guard detail of Stormtroopers for his appearance at the event as he took the stage to show the conference attendees how to properly use The Force!
